Cary, North Carolina Speed Traps
Evans Road near Maynard Road
Mounted motorcycle officers patrol Evans road during schools hours and remember fines are doubled!
Cary Parkway near Chapel Hill Road
Between Chapel Hill Road and Evans Road officers regularly wait in the median to pull speeders. This is a hilly part of Cary Parkway and it’s easy to exceed the 45 MPH speed limit. Be careful!
Weston Parkway near Norwell Street
When going down Weston Parkway in Cary towards Eastbound towards Harrison Avenue, after passing through the stoplight interexchange at Norwell Street, you will start to go down a hill and the speed trap will be right at the bottom. The cop will hide behind some trees in a parking lot driveway on the right. By the time you see him it will be too late. Be careful going down that hill as your car will speed up on its own.
Walnut Street near Shopping Plaza
The cop sits in his car behind Hancock Fabrics’ parking lot, under the trees and sometimes behind the shops, hidden completely by the bushes. If ever on Ryan st. you will most likely see the cop mid-day.
Cary Towne Boulevard near Interstate 40
As you make your west toward Maynard Rd form 40 Cary police like to sit in the trees on your right and I have also seen them in the median. Ticket alot of people here. Also, watch out for the red light camera too.
