Same stretch of road goes from 45 to 35 (speed trap area) and back into 40. Cop sits in schools field area with lights off and you do not see him until your headlights hit him and it’s too late. Sometimes a speedtrap van is out there,

Going South on Tryon after making a right off of Mallard… There’s an old closed down resturant (brown in color) that a cop sits way back. You won’t see em till its too late. Right before passing Bloom and Flying Saucer. Cop there from time to time.

Interstate 485 near Around the Fort Mill Exit – Rt. 160

Charlotte, North CarolinaAug 13, 20060 Comments

There is a long stretch of open highway on the new southern part of I-485 between I-77 and I-85. The speed limit is 65, but it’s very easy to speed. State troopers occasionally monitor this area in unmarked vehicles or motorcycles.

State Highway 16 near Mt. Holly Huntersville Road

Charlotte, North CarolinaJul 12, 20060 Comments

Cops love to hide in the grassy median or the parking lots of businesses along this Northern section of Brookshire. I’ve got a ticket there and I see people pulled over there daily. Speed limit is 45 and 55 on that road, but it looks like an interstate when you get out of the city and people drive on it like it is.
