Raleigh, North Carolina Speed Traps

There is a school zone in this area and it’s very very heavily watched – as it should be, but it’s not posted extremely heavily – watch out!

Millbrook Road carries significant E-W traffic above Raleigh’s I-440 beltline. It is hilly with curves and traps are often set for both directions just west of the intersection with Quail Hollow Drive. I’ve seen cops on motorcycles waiting on the sidewalk for fast east-bound traffic.

The cops sit in the middle of the median there constantly. Be careful

All along Ridge Road anywhere from Westmoreland to Leonard. Police appear to conduct radar training for new officers weekdays in morning and afternoon and park along street, in church parking areas and near the two schools.
