A motorcycle officer sit behind a tree on Eastern Avenue between the Kilpatrick Turnpike and Memorial Road and pulls a vehicle over about every 5 minutes throughout the day.
NE 10th Street near Lincoln Boulevard
On eastbound 10th street, the speed limit abruptly drops from 35 to 25 mph, in spite of the fact that it is 4-lane divided with a grass median. The speed limit 25 sign is near a tree and not obvious. The OU Med Center campus police frequent this area in the morning while OUMC employees are on their way to work, wait in a parking lot just east of Lincoln for people still doing 35 when thy enter this area. The fine for 35 in a 25 zone is $152.
US Highway 77 near Wilshire Boulevard
OKC cops sit behind the retaining wall for northbound Broadway Extension traffic at Wilshire. An excellent hiding place where you’ll never realize you’ve been caught until too late. The entire Broadway Extension from 63rd to Memorial is, more or less, heavily patrolled by OKC traffic enforcement units.
Interstate I-235 – 1-35 near Interstate Crosstown
Motorcycle troopers with radar under the cross bridges most every day above 50 degrees. Cars patrolling and on grassy parts of off ramps to sneak in behind you. Generally seen from NW 23rd south until I-240.
23 broadway Street near From 23rd broadway to 23rd martin luther king Bypass
The police officer normally sits in the parklot of Byron’s liquor store located at 23rd Broadway or by the army nationals guard
I’m not calling it speed trap however,The only time they sit there is at night after 5:00 PM or sundays when all of the state employee’s have gone home for the day I’m not trying to make it a racial issue, it already is one because the only people that are stopped and ticketed most of the times are black people.
