S.E. 29th Street near douglas Boulevard
OKC recently dropped the speed limit from 50 to 40 on their side of the street. Midwest City side is still 45. No reason to change since this has been 50 for about 25 years. OKCPD will tag you with a less than 10 ticket, code it sp-8, to keep it off your record and charge you 161.00. what a crock.
Anderson Road near Interstate 40
S.E.Anderson rd between SE 59th going north to SE 29th. This is a 2 mile stretch of very hilly road. It is very smooth and the posted speed limit is 40 mph. Constantly monitored by OKC PD and the OK County sheriff’s dept. They will hide in side streets and other hidden areas. They do not give warnings. Worked by OKC motorcycle cops almost daily in good weather. Unless you constantly ride your brakes it is almost impossible to do posted speed limit. All adjoining intersecting roads are 5 to 10 mph faster.
