Burlington, Ontario Speed Traps
Cedar Springs Road near Britannia Road
Located just past Britannia before Grand Blvd. This is a 50km/h section of road. They are always here. Even late into the evening.
Plains Road near 403 Expressway
Patrol car sits in parking lot near Botanical Gardens on Plains Rd. West. & points radar gun at eastbound traffic. Sometimes there is an unmarked patrol car with mobile radar going both eastbound & westbound as well.
Guelph Line Road near 407 Bridge Crossing
Going north on Guelph Line towards the 407, there’s a union gas station with a drive way, they police park there and sit on the gun.
407 Expressway near East of Appleby Line Street
The OPP parks perpendicular to the highway in the weigh station behind a concrete barrier. Travelling east on the 407 you dip down below a CN Rail overpass and on the other side is the weigh station. It is too late by then. Slow down to under 120km/h before the rail overpass. I see a OPP car or SUV here 5 days of the week. The Dundas Street trap is rarely used now.
Headon Road near Headon Forest Road
They set up picking off north bound cars just south of Headon Forest, park down a side street and simply stand with gun. Its a 40 km zone so they can literally pick off hundreds of cars in a short period of time. Will generally lower the fine if you don’t abuse them.
