Hamilton, Ontario Speed Traps
Nash Road near King Street
They police sit in their car in the parking lot of a church and catch speeders going down or up Nash Rd. Its a "50" zone. If you hit 60 or above you will most likely be pulled over.
Victoria Street near Burlington Street
Officers parked behind old Allans Candy warehouse building.
They hide with radar gun behind telephone pole aiming south at northbound traffic. They like to be there approximately 8.15 am just after an eastbound train has backed up traffic for ten minutes.
Aberdeen Avenue near Flatt Street
Radar is set up on South Side of Aberdeen behind a small electrical panel on street. Police pick off cars as they come off highway. Pay particular attention at month end when police activity increases dramatically!
Kenilworth Access Avenue near 1/2 way up Access
About 1/2 way down (after the Rail Trail Bridge), there is a parking area/pull over area (near the water control (?) building on the hillside). Have often seen a cruiser with radar parked there in the late night/early morning hours, aiming mostly for those coming up from the lower city – especially after the clubs let out on Friday/Saturday (2am +).
York Blvd Road near dundurn Street
The police are in the entry way to the Hamilton cemetary. The speed drops from about 70kms to 50kms. The speed limit is posted saying 50kms start.
