Queenston road just before the traffic circle
cop stands on opposite side of road across from the city motor hotel. they work in teams of about 4-5 cars usually on friday/ saturday nights they catch u speeding fromwalter ave heading west and pull u over right as u hit the traffic circle.. Also a very popular spot for ride checks
Mohawk Road east between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa
An officer sits there usually from Monday to Friday on a side street on the South side monitoring traffic flowing East. He parks on the side street and stands behind a pole.
King St. W just East of Paradise Rd. S
Just as you are crossing over the bridge the speed goes from 60 to 50. The officer is in an apartment building parking lot on the left hand side. There is a fence that hides his cruiser and he/she stands on the other side of the cruiser with a radar gun so they are hidden. It’s a popular spot midday and Saturdays.
Cootes Drive Just past M`cmaster going toward Dundas
The speed limit on main streets are 60 km. The speed limit on Cootes Hwy. near University is at an unrealistic and political 50 km. The speedtrap is set up just before 80 km. sign as drivers are responding to hwy. conditions in a safe and prudent manner.
Westcliff and Garth St.
Two officers usually, one stands behind a pole with the radar gun and the other walks out into traffic to pull over the speeder. Then the one with the radar gun goes back to pick off his own speeder. Usually mid day.
