Eglinton West Avenue near Inverness Boulevard

Mississauga, OntarioSep 30, 20080 Comments

North side of Eglinton Avenue West at Inverness Boulevard/Barbertown Road.

While heading westbound from Creditview Road, the limit is 60km/h, but many people accelerate quickly to ~80km/h due to the steep/sloping hill (a railway underpass). The police camp out on Barbertown Road and have one cop hide behind a street lamp and bus shelter on the north side of the road. They have a perfect view west. When they see the light change (at Creditview Road), they wait about 7 seconds and saunter out and take their reading as the cars hit the bottom of the dip, usually at their top speed.

Speeders are always stopped there.
