Mississauga, Ontario Speed Traps
Britania – east of Queen St.
Heading west on Britania as you enter Streetsville. Where Britania merges to 1 lane there is a side street on the north side where they set up a tripod and lasers here. 50 km/hr. This is the mayors part of the city so watch out.
QEW before Ford Drive
As you come up a slight hill on the QEW approaching Ford Drive, slow down!! On the other side of the hill is often a Laser-equipped cop, and just when you’ve finished convincing yourself that there’s just one of him, and all us speeders, you see that there are 4 or 5 more cops about 500m down the road. Beware! I got tagged an a buck-43!!
10th Line West between Eglington and Aquitaine
10th Line road is an easy place to get nabbed because of the many dead-end complexes which branch off from the main road. Those complexes are easy spots for cops to hide and wait for a driver to violate the 50km/h speed limit. I personally have been nabbed twice, that is once in both directions.
Highway 403 under Hurontario Bridge
I’ve seen a cop there tons of times when going westbound on highway 403 late at night (3-5 am) and it’s more often in the summer.
Highway 403 before the Erin Mills Exit
The cops stand under the Erin Mills overpass and catch with radar. They also sometimes stand under Erin Mills Parkway, but have other cop cars waiting behind (between after you come up the hill after the Mavis exit and the erin mills parkway). If you see a black car that looks like it might be undercover standing on the side of the road just as you’re coming up the hill (going westbound) towards erin mills, then you can be sure that there’s a radar ahead.
