Mississauga, Ontario Speed Traps
409 approaching Pearson Interation Airport
On the 409, coming 409 into the airport area the posted speed drops from 80Km to 40Km (just after the Airport Road exit). Cops like to set up the trap to catch people ignoring the speed change.
Rathburn Rd., 1km East of Creditview
Police like to park their car at the entrance to the walking path right beside the school. If you’re travelling westbound on Rathburn, there’s a little rise and then, right after the lights, the road starts going downhill ever so slightly. It’s here where they nail you.
Silver Dart Drive
Speed trap usually near the first overpass north of Renforth Drive. Cruiser usually parked on southeast side of overpass off the road – hard to see from either direction.
Southbound Winston Churchill Blvd at Tours Rd
One or more unmarked police cars are parked on Tours Rd so as to be invisible to southbound traffic. Radar is mounted on a tripod behind a large concrete street lamp. Speeding cars are instructed to turn onto Tours so that they will not be visible to traffic and so that up to three cars are processed at a time.
Glen Erin Drive (east and west bound)
Unmarked and slicktop vehicles of the Peel Regional Police park behind a bush on the bridge before Windwood Dr. They also set up going the other way at Elizabeth Seton school.
