Ottawa, Ontario Speed Traps
Interstate 5 near King Edward Street
When entering Ottawa from the King Edward/Aut 5 bridge, cops either sit in the police u-turn, or wait around the corner with a bunch of cruisers and bikes to bust you as the speed limit changes from 70-60 then to 50. This limit is unacceptable as it is more than safe enough to do about 70 around the bend.
State Highway 417 near steel Road
Sits off highway on Steel Rd. Gets both east bound and west bound traffic.
Heron Road near Walkley Road
The cops sit on the median just as you approach walkley road on heron road. They seem to pull over cars on both sides. It’s not as popular as the Clover Street trap, but I guess the cops like the variety.
Maitland Road near Clyde Road
Officer standing at corner before turn (Maitland turns into Clyde at the turn) and checking speeds. Police pull out of Burger King parking lot around corner on Clyde.
Fisher Avenue near Meadowlands Drive
Fisher Ave north between Viewmount and Meadowlands. They can hide on both sides of the street.
