Millwood Drive and Overlea Blvd. or Millwood Drive and Pape Ave.

Toronto, OntarioApr 06, 20101 Comments

They are sometimes on either side of the bridge. On one end (Millwood and Overlea) they park their cruiser up in the park so it looks like an extension of the bridge railing. Then they hide near the railing with the radar gun pointed down the bridge to the lights at Pape Ave. and Millwood Drive.
On the other side, they park the cruiser over on the sidewalk and sit in the little island that’s about right in the middle of the road and point the radar gun down the bridge to the lights at Millwood Dr. and Overlea Blvd.
They are not there all the time but I usually see them in the afternoons. Its a good idea to not speed there just in case.

Everyday they are there on greenwood with radar gun facing north because of the hill when going south on greenwood.

Morningside Ave-South of Ellesmere

The Police sit at the entrance to Morningside park and point their radar guns North. It is a frequent trap. I am sure it’s a 50 in that area. Have also seen them sit on the other side of the road, aiming radar at cars coming down hill towards Ellesmere.

Coxwell Ave., North of Civic Centre and Toronto East General

The area well before the Toronto East General Hospital is a 40 Km zone even though it looks like it should be a 50 km zone.

Danforth Eastbound, East side of bridge near Broadview.

Busy, busy spot. Weekend mornings seem to be a specialty but sporadically throughout the week. They seem to go after the Sunday morning crowd regularly. Cars get lined up waiting for their tickets, sometimes 3 or 4 police cars provide service to the motoring public.
