Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Lawrence Avenue near Allen Road
These traps (going both directions!) are located on Lawrence Ave. between Allen Rd. and Bathurst St.
Travelling west on Lawrence, they are just before the Allen Rd., past the high school on the right (in the school parking lot exit).
Travelling east on Lawrence Ave. toward Bathurst, they are located at Englemount Rd (2 streets east of Allen Rd.)
Bayview Avenue near Steeles Avenue
Between Cummer and Steeles on Bayview, the limit unnessecarily drops to 50 km/h. There is a driveway about 25 meters south of Steeles where crusiers often sit. If you pass them doing 60, you’re getting nailed. I drive there often and I keep the speedometer dead on 50 because I always see somebody pulled to one side. Good luck!
Bathurst Street near North of St. Clair Avenue
The trap is north of St. Clair on both sides of the road, to catch northbound and southbound speeders. Southbound, it is just after the bridge that goes over the Cedarvale Ravine tucked beside the Shell gas station. This one is more common, and always has lots of customers (the trap, not the station). Northbound, it is just as you start going downhill on the bridge, they sit in their cruisers and drive after you – the bridge is nice and wide, so they have lots of room to pull you over and take your money. The posted limit is 50 km/h, but 60 would be much more suitable. Consider yourself warned!
Progress Avenue near Centenial college
stands at the old howard johnson parkign lot, now know as the centenial college residence, rigth at the bottom of hill. hard to see becasuse its a slope… usually stands in front of car and tells them to pull over. the rest, i dotn know.. happens in mornings and after school.
sheppard Avenue near earl bales
when going east on sheppard toward young away from bathurst on the far side of the hill, hidden in a driveway surronded by trees
