Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
North Bellamy Road near Crusader Road
If you are going north on Bellamy from Eglington you go down the hill (over the bridge) and going back up the hill there will either be a cop hiding in the church parking lot (before the top of the hill) OR as of lately over the top of the hill and he will nab you when you get to the top. He stands on the grass (at Crusader rd) and steps out and points at you to pull over .
Steeles Avenue near railway overpass
On the north side of Steeles between Bayview and Leslie. Monitoring westbound traffic.
Eglinton Avenue Road near Railway over pass
This is a sneaky one. Just west of the railway overpass, between Leslie and Don Mills, the police are monitoring the westbound traffic as they come down a hill. Naturally you speed up and get nailed if you are over 60 kms/hr.
Gardiner Expressway near Exit Number Lakeshore Exit West bound
They park just over a rise in the road on the left side. usually with a pavement coloured stealth car and set up a laser on a tripod.
The speed limit is 60 KMs which is really difficult after laeving the gardiner which has a limit of 90 kms
kingsway / kingsgrove Road near Royal York Street
This four(4)way stop intersection is a classic invisible Toronto peace officer cruiser radar/stop sign trap. If your speeding above the posted limit of 40km per hour and or disobey the stop sign you’ll be charged.
