Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Lakeshore Blvd by the Boulevard Club
On Lakeshore, by the Boulevard Tennis club, Eastbound when going up the hill, 60 Km limit but the traffic zipps at 80 and those wankers will get you!
Lakeshore EastBound Lanes West of Jameson Exit
Police setup laser on tripod on south side of Lakeshore, monitoring Eastbound lanes. Ensure you are travelling under 60 coming around the right bend on lakeshore, 1 km west of the Jameson exit off of the Gardnier onto Lakeshore. Officer will come onto road and flag you down.
S/B Bathurst Between Starthearn and St. Clair
Cop has his cruiser parked in alley beside an appartment building with tripod set up facing traffic coming south over the bridge. Speed limit coming over bridge is 50 km/h on this straight away. It is very easy to exceed 70 km/h. I have seen him there almost daily.
Greenwood Ave, North of Gerard, either side of train overpass.
As you descend toward the overpass, police position themselves on the opposite side of the overpass. It is very difficult to see them as they are obscured by the overpass and they have the trunk open to hide the cruiser’s lights. It is easy to exceed 60 km as you decend; speed limit is 40 km. They are there sporadically at any time of day, any day of the week.
Oriole Parkway south of Eglinton
I drive this all the time and see people pulled over constantly. It’s marked as a 40 but people think it’s a 50 (so they drive 70) Bam! Suddenly you’re 30 over and paying a hefty fine. Usually a dark blue cruiser getting people both ways.
