I-476 between Lehigh Valley and Mahoning Valley Exits
State troopers will actually sit out right in the open on the shoulder using backwards facing speed detection. They hide at the end of a slight bend in the road so as not to be seen, and catch you before you see them and are able to slow down. Speed limit is supposed to be a strict 65. I was caught in the Southbound lane and haven’t seen this tactic used yet in the opposite direction
476 Turnpike Southbound at Allentown Entrance Ramp
Units sit under overpass just to the right of the pillar on the entrance ramp to 476. Units sit sometimes right on the entrance ramp.
State Rt. 145 (S. 4th St)
If headed Southbound, Police like to sit on the street which is on the right hand side immediately after passing the Mountainside Inn. Lines in road mark the spot.
Broadway Road near 42nd Street
Directly across from the Lehigh County Sports Field park. One car sits in a driveway near the intersection of Broadway and 42nd, and there are 2 or 3 cars on 42nd, 1 on Chew st, and 1 on Angus. SPEED LIMIT IS 35 MPH! Go the speed limit, and you’ll be fine, go over by more than 3, either direction, and you’re toast!
