Allentown, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
S. Cedar Crest Boulevard near Briarwood Lane
Right after the southbound lanes merge into 1, there is a small dirt road right across from Briarwood Lane, a few cars sit in there, and there are often a few down the road as well. Both ways get caught, speed limit is 45 at that point – DONT speed past other people trying to merge in front of them, you’ll get busted!
State Highway 22 near State Route 309
PSP wait on the grass on the eastbound lanes of Rt 22 at 309. Many people come off of the Northeast extension (476) and are used to the 65 MPH rather than the 55 of Rt 22.
Interstate 78 near Mile Marker 46 & 48
Usually on eastbound side, sometimes on the westbound side. State trooper hides behind an overpass bridge. Also, on the eastbound side, a trooper will hide at a small pull-over spot at the 46 mile mark. On the eastbound side, there will sometimes be troopers at both spots, so you think you’re safe after the first, and can get caught by the second.
Interstate 476
2 unmarked troopers sit on the bridge going north bound just before the exit for the rest area. they radio ahead to multiple cars. i saw them using hand held k band guns with 3 people already pulled over. its instant on so you think its just a store alarm, but its actually a cheap radar gun.
Parkway Road near Parkway Manor Elementary
Down Parkway is 25mph, becareful because after the elementary there will be a cop sitting on a side road down the hill clocking people. since it is 25mph, stay on your brake until you reach the stop sign for springhouse road!
