Erie, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
West 32nd Street (between Greengarden and Pittsburgh Ave)
During the summer months EPD’s motorcycle units hide in driveways along W. 32nd Street. No stop signs or red lights between Greengarden and Pittsburgh Ave.
City of Erie – West 18th Street between Chestnut and Liberty
There are several parking lots located along West 18th Street. One favorite EPD hiding spot is Arnone’s (the restaurant, not the store across the street) parking lot at W. 18 and Cherry. Speed limit is 25 mph.
Buffalo Road between Bird Drive and Broad Street
From time to time, Erie police hide in driveways and on side streets to catch drivers. Speed limit on Buffalo Road is 25.
East Lake Road (PA 5) – Nagle Road to Iroquois Ave.
Lawrence Park Township. Cops sit on side streets after dark on E. Lake Road. Speed limit drops from 40 to 35 at Park Tavern, then back to 40 at E. Lake/Iroquois/Water Street 3-way.
Northbound I90
About 5 miles south of Erie there are exits with overpasses (not too sure what exit it was) Driving through PA with my RD I found i was hit by laser from out of nowhere. Finally spotted the car on the overpass shooting down at northbound traffic. Also, 3 unmarked chase cars were waiting in the on ramp and two already with a customer. Very Sneaky.
