Chattanooga, Tennessee Speed Traps
Amnicola Highway
Police and white vans that take pictures of your tag are all along Amnicola. The white vans are usually located b/w the Hwy 153 ramp and Chattanooga State. Cameras are also on several of the traffic lights. Whatever you do… just do not speed on Amnicola at all… they are everywhere… it is ridiculous.
NB Hixon Pike
The county has set up speed cameras in the 2600 block. I don’t remember seeing any warning signs about them.
E. Brainerd Road
On East Brainerd Road near I-75 headed west, a white photo van sits near Concord Baptist Church on the right and then on up a short distance past the overpass, another white photo van sits on the left across from Hickory Valley Road.
I-75 N. Before E. Brainard Rd. Exit. where it Merges from GA
Where the traffic from GA merges with traffic from Chattanooga, headed toward the Hamilton place area, about half a mile before the E. Brainard Rd. Exit. An Unmarked car frequently sits at night with all except running lights off. Car cannot be seen until you are passing it because he sits behind brush, just before the concrete barrier starts.
I-75 South just before the Bonny Oaks Dr. Exit
State Troopers often sit just past the new overpass (its not open to traffic yet) and will get you coming down the hill. they will also say you were speeding in the construction zone, even though you are past it. they also sometimes pair up and one sits on the off ramp, while one sits on top of the overpass and clocks people.
