Knoxville, Tennessee Speed Traps

Cops will park at the entrance to McKay’s Used books almost every night all night long. They will also park at the intersection of Westfield Rd. and Papermill Rd. These sections of roads are so dark, you won’t see them until is too late to slow down. Speed limit is 30 MPH.

Going South on I-75, watch the overpass at Calahan Rd. KPD shoots radar from the bridge, radios the partner that’s located on down the interstate to pull you over & ticket who he catches. Speed limit is 55mph.

Parked in median near barriers and behind barrels. Speed limit is 45 with traffic moving 65 including other police cruisers. They ticket when the least amount of cars are on the road.

There is a cop who is working this street and many other sidestreets in the surrounding area. Cop waits for the car going 10 miles an hour over the limit, which is easily done in rush hour traffic.

The city cops sit on a little side road named Autry Rd. It is between Hollywood Rd and Coleman Rd. They get you before you can see them. They have been known to be there 4 or 5 days staight. Watch out the speed limit is 35 but should be 40!
