College Station, Texas Speed Traps
New Main Road near Texas Avenue & New Main
This is the drag from Texas Avenue to New Main Road leading up to the Systems building. Usually in one of turnaround sections of the road, there is a College Station Police car sitting there, with the front pointed towards Texas Avenue. They will stop you for going over 40mph or in my case, expired tags.
Olsen Boulevard near George Bush & Olsen Boulevard
Usually during the early morning rush or in the afternoons, there is a University or College Station Police car sitting at a median next to the Rec Center where the stop sign is. It always faces south towards George Bush Drive. They will stop you for going over thirty, I’ve seen it nearly every time.
Welsh Street near State Highway 2818
Police officer hides behind a gas station by some of the bigger intersections. Targets out of state drivers.
2818 Street near A&M Consolidated School
Watch out, speed limit is 50, coming from a 65. They will ticket you for going 7 mph over.
Villa Maria Road near Boonville Road
This road runs right along Blinn College so there is a constant flow of late students in a rush to class, or those just showing off. The way the turning lanes are, anyone can get nailed for not using their blinker. There are alot of small houses with large bushes along the right side of the road, a perfect place for a motorcycle cop to pull anyone over. The speed limit on Villa Maria is 5 or 10 miles an hour slower than that of Boonville, and the cop saw me before I saw the sign. I got my ticket rushing through the traffic on the first day of semester. The first day of classes and finals are the worst.
