Garland, Texas Speed Traps
Garland Road near US Highway 635
Garland Road is a long industrial section lined with several automotive garages. Some of these auto service centers are abandoned or out of business. There is a daily morning pair of motorcycle officers who cite for seatbelt violations and for violating the mph limit that changes from 35 to 45 along this stretch.
Interstate 30 East near Zion Road
They set up two cars, one running the radar, one with the engine running. They are on both sides, east and west. They also go all the way into Rockwall, so be careful!
Forest Lane between Plano road and Shiloh Road
This is especially bad between Jupiter road and Shiloh road.
I work on Forest lane around that area and seen a lot of people pulled over pretty much on a daily basis.
S. Garland Ave. between Shiloh Rd. & Miller Rd.
There are about 4-5 motorcycle cops that work up & down Garland Ave every day. They sit at the bottom of the hill or in used car parking lots. If you look at them wrong they will find a reason to pull you over.
I-30 between Lake Ray Hubbard and Rose Hill
Westbound between 1 PM and 3 PM, the Highway Patrol will nab you right after you cross the lake. Eastbound, the Garland police are there nearly every day, but they seem more interested in slowing down the traffic through their mere appearance.
