Pearland, Texas Speed Traps
Heading East on Dixie Farm Road from 518
In the morning and in the afternoon, there are police cruisers and motorcycle cops that will park in the middle of the road (right past Dixie Farm road) waiting for cars coming in either direction. The speed limit is 35 mph, but since the road has been widened, it could be 45 miles an hour. Be especially careful in Pearland if you are a teenager!
Fite Rd & Piper Rd
Two issues with this intersection…First, usually a motorcycle cop will sit here and watch for speeders douring the afternoon schhol zone, and EVERY time I go through here, I see him catch somebody. Second, if you’re ever driving through here at night, and think you can get away with rolling through the stop sign, you’ll get a surprise visit from an officer sitting in the school parking lot with his lights dimmed.
Branch Hill Dr & Oakwick Dr
Motorcycle cop (2 on occasion) stopping cars for drifting through a the stop sign on right turn. Mornings 7:00 am to 8:30 am. The little weasle(s) hides behind parked cars / trucks from a distance. Very hard to see unless you know he is there.
McKeever Rd (CR 100) at Berry Rd (CR 879C) – Pearland Brazoria County Texas
At CR 879C / Berry Rd, there is a driveway leading into a field, where there is usually a Brazoria County Sheriff officer waiting to catch speeders on CR 100 / McKeever Rd.
Southfork (CR 59) at CR 922 – Silverlake Pearland Brazoria County Texas
CR 922 is a dead end dirt road where Brazoria County Sheriff officers wait to catch speeders along Southfork. Southfork is a main road in Silverlake with very wide lanes and usually light traffic, but the speed limit is only 30-35 mph.
