Rowlett, Texas Speed Traps
On Chiesa between Dalrock and Miller.
They sit at the bend at Bob White and on Garner in the alley. Speed limit is 35. It is easy to do 45. Don’t. Usually in the morn and evening but have seen them at all hours.
Dexham Road, Between Miller Rd and Hwy. 66
The police car usualy sits in the drive closest to the railiroad tracks going into Dexham Estates. Usually in the mornings and afternoons during rush hour.
Dalrock Road
Speed limit is 40 on Dalrock, and you can go 45, but I wouldn’t go over that! It’s been this way for the 6 years that I’ve lived here and they are always somewhere on Dalrock.
Miller Road Road near Centerville Road
Miller Road has been under construction to widen the roadway for several months. The day that they opened the widened roadway there were several speed traps along the way because they lowered the speed limit from 40 to 30. The city says that they lowered the speed limit for the safety of the workers that are still working on putting in the sidewalks and greenery but they did not lower the speed until the widened portion opened up, clearly not worried about the workers that actually did the road work.
Lakeview Parkway near Apartment complex
Traveling west on Lakeview Parkway/Hwy 66 across the bridge between Chiesa Road and Liberty Grove Road there is almost always a patrol vehicle sitting in the parking lot of the apartment complex just on the other side (north side of the road) of the bridge. They are difficult to see because of the trees and they are parked so that you cannot see them until you are across the bridge. The flow of traffic in the mornings is generally traveling above the posted speed limit.
