Alexandria, Virginia Speed Traps
Edsall Rd & Timber Forest Drive
Police in cruiser park on Timber Forest Drive waiting to catch people heading west on Edsall Road as they approach the exits for 395. Sometimes a police officer will hid behind a sign at the entrance to the Census Bureau building, which is the first right past Timber Forest Drive.
George Washington Parkway Maintenance Yard
Northbound and Southbound drivers will encounter United States Park Police officers parked in the driveway to the maintenance yard trapping drivers that exceed the 45MPH speed limit.
Commonwealth Avenue near East Bellefonte Avenue
Police regularly sit at the corner of Commonwealth and E. Bellefonte and pull people who speed and run the 4 way stop sign. I am glad they do though, especially since there are a lot of children in the neighborhood. So slow down!
Braddock Road near Lloyds Lane
Cops will pull you as you speed on Braddock. They hide on Lloyds Lane.
US Highway 95 Northbound near S Van Dorn Street
During the morning and into early afternoon you will often find state police in a dark SUV parked on the right hand side of I95 Northbound at the S Van Dorn street Exit. The vehicle is typically in the grass space in between the S Van Dorn Street (exit 173) ramp and I95. The officer is out of the vehicle using Laser. GPS coordinates were determined with Google Earth so may be off a little.
