Fairfax, Virginia Speed Traps
State Highway 29 East near State Highway 7100 North
Traveling 29 East, as you pass under 7100, Fairfax County Parkway. There are usually 2 patrolmen there, one with a radar gun, and the other a chaser. Not uncommon to see several cars pulled over at one time.
State Highway 29 near Fairfax County Parkway
There’s a hill where you go under a ramp, and if you’re not careful, it’s easy to go faster than the 45 MPH speed limit. I think that the speed limit at this location is too slow, and I would say that there are police cars at this location at least 50 percent of the time.
Roberts Parkway near Burke Center
Going west on Roberts Parkway past Walmart, the police will sit off to the side on Burke Commons Road. The speed limit is 35, but the sign is hidden under trees and most drive it at 40 to 50 mph.
Fairfax County Parkway near Exit for bradock road
many times in the morning between about 7am-10am there are often at LEAST one (but often several, i’ve seen up to 4) police cars in the area between the road and the exit ramp road (the little "V" area where it actually splits for the exit) for the exit at braddock road. they have a good line of sight on you coming around the corner, and i’ve often seen them have 2 or more cars pulled over (even w/ a single cop). i’ve also seen them back another few yards on the overpass/bridge shoulder (where the parkway goes over bradock).
Silverbrook Road near Fairfax County Parkway
Cops love to patrol in the silverbrook/crosspoint area. As soon as u enter crosspoint via glen eagles, on you first right there will be a cop stationed by a school entrance. Cops also partrol the streets heavly on friday nights and summers.
