State Route 52 E near Convoy

San Diego, CaliforniaDec 28, 20070 Comments

There is usually a CHP/Motorcycle cop under the bridge when you are heading 52E right before the Convoy St Exit. They are usually posted behind a bush which can be too late to slow down when you spot them. I noticed beginning of the month they are there more.

CHP park on the right hand median where 805 N merges onto 52 E. There is a slight curve in the highway so he can’t be seen until you are passing him

Interstate 805 North near 56 Bypass

San Diego, CaliforniaNov 29, 20070 Comments

Heading 805N to the 56 Bypass there is a motorcycle cop that sits in the emergency pull out spot at the end of the ramp, and is "Strategically placed" right behind a large electrical box and light post so you cannot see him. Yes, he has been there during foggy mornings when you can’t see his "spot". Radar can see through the fog.. 😉

Calle De Las Rosas Street near Via Caballo Rojo Street

San Diego, CaliforniaNov 14, 20070 Comments

There is often a speed trap heading Northeast bound on Calle De Las Rosas towards Rancho Penasquitos Blvd in the morning. You’re coming up the hill and just as you get to the crest of the hill you’re staring right at a radar gun. Similarly on the same street towards the bottom of the hill heading Southwest the cops also like to set up a speed trap there in the evening after work. They usually hide there motorcycles behind parked cars.
