Right after the I-15 south & 163 south split, there is a cop on a motorcycle just south of the Express Lane junction. I’ve also seen a cop under each overpass/bridge from Clairemont Mesa Blvd. through Aero Dr. so watch out. I see at least 3 cops every morning!

On Governor, between 805 and Genesee, both directions. Governor is wide and there are few driveways, making it easy to go over the 30mph posted miles earlier. Motorcycle cops sit behind the curve near Gulfstrand. You can not see them until you round the bend and wham! There are at least 20 tix per day per the SDWeb police reports. Watchout!

Carmel Mountain Road near Interstate 15

San Diego, CaliforniaAug 16, 20070 Comments

Motorcycle cops like to trap the northbound side of Carmel Mountain Road approximately 1 mile south of I-15. They will be hidden in the shadows with 2 or 3 motorcycle cops waiting with radar. The 40 MPH speed limit is fair due to having low density residential uses but is at the bottom of a hill and if you don’t watch your downhill speed, you can easily be at 50 MPH even though only 40 MPH at the top of the hill.
