its a crossing walk for kids to go to their homes from school.. watch out these cops are as follows routinely patrol this area..colorado state patrol and.. city police and.. sheriff of elpaso county/colorado.. watch out drive slow 20 mph..!
Fillmore Street near 30th Street
Fillmore just east of 30th. Fillmore goes downhill and the speedlimit drops to 30mph. Because it’s downhill it’s very easy to go above the speed limit and cops hide in an apartment complex parking lot that is blocked by bushes.
Flying W Ranch Road near Champagne Road
Flying W Ranch is a very windy, hilly road. Cops are hiding out very frequently on the side streets on the downhill slopes of Flying W Ranch. There are cops constantly in the school zone around Chipeta Elementary in Mountain Shadows area. Watch out! They are not visible until too late. Its very difficult to go from 35 mph to 20 mph in 200 ft, when going down a fairly sloped hill!
Union Boulevard near Monterey Road
An unmarked car sits at the bottom of this hill in a construction area. This is at a bottom of the hill just to the south of Monterey right before union turns into hancock……Look out two officers sit in this car and bust people left and right.
Centennial Boulevard near Garden Of The Gods Road
Periodically the speed limit signs are moved from 40 MPH
to 35 MPH and the cars sit in the small shopping mall and
radio violations to motorcycles. Speed limit signs are
not posted often enough for persons turning from Holland
Park to see what the limit is.
