92nd Avenue near Huron Street
A Squad car sits parked at the entrance of the storage lot heading east on 92nd towards 1-25. Traffic traveling east will not notice the squad car until within radar range. Nightime is more frequent then early morning.
124th Street near Colorado Boulevard
From Colorado Blvd to Claude Ct, the police will sit in any side street, any time of day, any day of the week. Harrison St. is popular, as is hiding in the trees at Steel. They also watch the stop signs at Steel and at the tennis courts closely.
State Route 7 near Interstate 25
Thornton police are enforcing (taking advantage of) recently reduced speed limits on Route 7, just East of I-25 near the new shopping center. Encountered a motorcycle officer with a laser.
128 Avenue near Washington Street
Both vehicle and motorcycle police either east or west of Washington St. On the west side of washington, they are typically in that real estate complex’s parking lot catching traffic east bound as soon as they cross over the bridge. (More common during afternoons to sometimes late night) East of washington, they are usually parked at the firestation or Hunter Douglas targeting east bound traffic. (Typically there midday) Also, east of Washington, they target westbound traffic parked at the entrance to the Hunter’s Glen Lake. (Typically morning)
Interstate 25 near 92 Avenue
If you are heading Northbound this trap is usually on the top of the hill past the 92nd ave bridge. It is really hard to see the motorcylces(2-4) until you reach the top of the hill. Also, several times they are on the other side right under 92nd trying to catch southbound traffic.
