Jacksonville, Florida Speed Traps
Airport Rd. Eastbound Betw. Intl. Airport Blvd and Duval Rd
Motorcycles and cars in median checking eastbound (leaving the airport) traffic with Lasar. Usually worked in the late A.M three to five days a month. Sheriffs officers with some Highway Patrol
Southside Blvd. just over Beach Blvd. overpass
Going over the overpass of Beach Blvd. heading North on Southside Blvd.
Speed limit is 45MPH. You never know when there will be one or more cops in cars, motorcycles or standing with guns on either or both sides. By the time you see them it’s too late. I always watch brakelights fo cars in front of me as they approach the top and slow down if need be. Happens often, no pattern recognized.
University Blvd. just north of Atlantic Blvd.
Corner of University and Allen Place. On most sunny days! Googled it using the little gold man, you can zoom in and see the cop about to hand out yet another ticket. Four lane, 35 seems unnatural, they love this spot. Wish they would spend their time protecting our homes.
Spring Park Rd-between University Blvd & Bowden Rd
Motorcycle cop will set up on small street just south of University Christian campus. A while back he got me twice in the same week for going 10 mph over! I expect that it is probably as bad there as it used to because the road was widened and people tend to think they can drive faster on a wider road.
Anywhere from Firestone Rd & 103rd St. to Rampart Rd. & Argyle Forest Blvd.
Spots are: Between Wheat Rd & 118th St. on east side of road; the parking lot of the church just north of Morse Ave.; way off the road just south of the JEA power station and watch behind the solid wood fence at the new fledgling church just south of Park City (north of Cinnamon Lakes).
