Jacksonville, Florida Speed Traps
Bishopswood Dr & Argyle Forest Blvd
Argyle Forest Blvd and Bishopswood Dr. Speed Limit is 40 MPH. Its a nice four lane road and many think 50-65 mph is okay. Well I see the motorcycle Traffic enforcement Cops doing their Job daily. They are citing large numbers of vehicles for very expensive tickets $300-400. It’s easy picking for them don’t get caught or you will cry. Also watch out for the unmarked Silver patrol car. This particular LEO is in no mood to forgive and forget. If he stops you expect a hefty fine. He is dead serious to slow traffic down. Warning to all is slow down in this area or expect a speeding ticket and any other violation they can give you in addition to speeding like seat belt or ins and registration violation. Avoid area if at all possible. Working the area in early am rush hour, during the day mid and late afternoons , the rush hour pm and at night All along this section of road. I know I was busted for speeding 54 mph, no seat belt and a tail light out total fines $433. A nice holiday present. Avoid Avoid this area or seriously watch your speed

I295 nb between Dunn Ave and Pulaki FHP (Florida highway Patrol,JSO(Jacksonville Sheriffs Office) FDOT( Florida Department of Transportation have been doing an explosive speed trap where they are stopping anyone who doing 5 mph over the limit. they are writing tickets not warnings and they are using the construction zone decoy or an officer with a car already pulled over decoy or the survey crew decoy. there will be a black impala with the trunk open, a Ford Explorer silver in color with the trunk open or a Dodge Charger pulled over by a marked JSO or FHP car with the apparent driver of the car and an officer talking. they are using unmarked cars that are riding along the roadways. the ones i have spotted are a red Dodge Charger with tented windows, a new model Chevy Tahoe blue in color and a Chrylser 300 black in color.
Cortez Road
Motorcycle cop hides behind building in basketball court, or under the shadows of shade tree in the same area. Usually catches northbound traffic after the curve. 30 mph is hard for automatic drive vehicles.
Fort Caroline Road
There is another new speed trap on the one-way service road that runs parallel to Arlington Expressway between Cesery Boulevard and Arlington Road. This is the only service road that runs One-Way in a southeast direction (toward Regency Mall). I live in an apartment near there and I Must use this one-way service road to go anywhere, even if it means making a huge U-Turn if I want to go downtown. There are often 2 police officers standing up as if one is teaching the other how to use the portable radar gun. My girlfriend got nailed there going 45 in a 35 mph zone. Cost her $80.00! So be careful there!
