Jacksonville, Florida Speed Traps
Caron Road near Old St. Augustine Road
Caron Road, Between Old St. Augustine And Julington Creek. They Sit There all the time. Morning & Afternoon Mainly, But Sometimes at Night as well. The Posted Limit is 30 mph. Just about everyone on my street has gotten a ticket there (my Wife and Myself Included…) BE CAREFUL!
Deerwood Park Boulevard near Bank of America Building
I received a ticket at this location. It is generally an office park area Speed Limit 35 mph. There were 3 Motorcycle JSO (Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office) shooting radar. It is right when the road narrrows from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. The officer stated I was going 59 mph. HOwever when I looked down I was only going 45 mph and their were cars all around me whom he did not stop that were going equal speed.
Marbon Road near State Highway 13
This road which runs between Alladin and State Road 13 has been strictly patrolled for the past several months. Both my wife and my daughter have received tickets in on this very straight road which runs past entrances to several subdivisions. The tendency for many drivers is to go 10-20 MPH above the 30 MPH posted speed limit. Officers (motorcyle and/or cruisers) park on one of several “loop”” driveways or tree-lined side roads. Drivers are usually motioned over by officer who is standing by the roadway with radar equipment.”
Hendricks Avenue near Universty Boulevard
On Hendricks Ave, between University Blvd and Emerson Street, both north bound and South bound, several JSO units sit in the Miamar Shopping center catching south bound drivers, and in the old Pot Bellys Resturuant parking lot catching north bound drivers, mainly right after lunch time. The posted speed limit is 40 mph, be careful.
Hodges Boulevard near Beach
Two times in the past month I’ve seen JSO officers set up a trap on the Northbound side of Hodges. Both times were in the AM.
