Miami, Florida Speed Traps
11 Street near 22 Avenue
The speed limit is 30mph, but it is very easy to do 50+. Basically, there will be like 4 or 5 police cars from varying police departments (Miami-Dade to Miccosukee), under an overpass. What makes them so difficult to see is the shade under the overpass; if you’re not paying 100% attention, you’re going to get caught. For some reason, when they pulled me over, they only gave me a warning, but I doubt that they extended the same treatment to everyone.
From 88th Street Exit to 152 Street Exit
These cops have no mercy. They are posted weekdays and weekends they love the mornings and some times are there at lunch time. Usually the entire FHP platoon is on duty. They have their base near the Turnpike, reinforced by DOT officers busting trucks.
