Indianapolis, Indiana Speed Traps
Interstate 69 near Exit Number 14
South bound and North bound 69 heading toward Madison county there is always a cop sitting in the median beyond and overpass hidden. He sits there constantly trying to catch people because he can stay hidden and get them once up on him. It is between the Noblesville exit and Pendleton exit right around exit 14 Fortville/Lapel. I personally think this one is entrapment as he is always hidden.
Stop 11 Street near US Highway 31 South
On Stop 11 in between Madison Ave and US Hwy 31, two officers will be outside of their patrol cars with a radar gun.
Keystone Avenue near bridge over 86th Street
Southbound Keystone Ave, just after you crest the bridge over 86th Street. This section of road is 4 lane divided highway with no access to driveways, parking lots or cross streets – yet the speed limit is 40 mph. I regularly see a police car from my office window "working" this section of the road in the mornings. On occassion they will gang up three or four police cars pulling people over and writing tickets one after the other.
Grandview Avenue near 54th Street
A car and motorcycle personnel sit back on 54th Street with their hand held radar guns. The speed limit is 35 and it is a heavily traveled street.
Delaware Street near 21st Street
There is a radar detection in this area. Drivers can see how fast they are going so they know if they need to slow down. There are two cop cars parked on the shoulder of the road to alert drivers, however, I was pulled over by an officer on a motorcycle. Be very careful! They like to sneak up on their targets.
