Gas House Pike Road near Monocacy Boulevard
Gas House Pike, as it sounds, is an old winding downhill farm rd with new development everywhere. Posted 40 mph 3 times in the upper part where the road is real curvy, but just as it straightens out finally and starts to really go downhill, a single 35 mph sign is posted and a cop is 100 ft past it, in a private business driveway, as you approach Monocacy Blvd. Sometimes he sits in the second driveway, closer to Monocacy in case you think he’s not on duty and speed up. When you get your citation, he annouces rather proudly that he doesn’t have to appear in court, so you might as well pay it. ($90, 2 pts).
