Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps
Warm Springs Road near Interstate 15
They sit on the corner in the parking lot to the north west and catch you coming over the bridge.
Maryland Parkway near Windmill Street
From Windmill all the way south to St. Rose, but especially up to Silverado Ranch. The Bike cops hang out all over and in every little hiding place you can see. Coming our of streets, dead ends. It’s so bad that now after my second ticket for going 12 mph over and keeping up with the flow of traffic. I will now find an alternate route. The cops have a bad attitude as well. I ask if he could let me off and he would not, he cam back with a ticket for 5 mph over and I signed it and then he explained the court dates and I told him I am going to have my lawyer handle it for me, he deleted the ticket, wrote a new one, for 12 mph over and then, sited me for a headlite that was out, got annoyed when I asked him why and then told me my tires looked bald also (on a car two months old!)
US Highway 93-95 near Pauite Indian Reservation
US 95 No to Reno — just outside of Vegas, once you pass the Mt Charleston turnoff, expect a cop hiding under the Paiute Indian Reservation bridge so they can nail you on Indian land.
Buffalo Street near Cheyenne and Lake Mead Crossing
Bike cops like to sit in the vacant roads on Buffalo, the long straightaway. Bike cops primarily from early morning, to rush hour, usually during the middle of the month. Have seen a police car during the night hours nabbing people as well.
desert inn Road near just before valley view Boulevard
motorcycle cops sit behind a tree in a parking lot to the right just as dessert inn road turns and goes down a slight hill and then turns back into a regular street , BEFORE the stop light at valley view but after the tunnel . dessert inn on that stretch is 3 lanes wide with side barriers like a freeway , speed limit is 45 there but almost no one drives that slow as that stretch has no intersections , i have seen cops useing radar as late as 1 am at night , also may be there during the day ,but not when traffic is backed up during busy traffic times .
