Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Bloor Street
Located on Bloor Street West between just before Old Mill travelling West on Bloor or just before Jane St. travelling East on Bloor. The bridge which slopes down and passes through the Humber River is constantly monitored by cops and I see countless tickets given per week ANYTIME of day.
Eastern Avenue
Usually 2-3 cop cars radaring westbound traffic as Eastern Ave slopes down considerably over the DVP.
Bayview S/B Avenue near at Lawrence
Laser trap – catching southbound traffic over the bridge from the Granite Club – approaching Lawrence.
Bayview Avenue near Near the CNIB/Sunnybrook Hospital
Northbound and Southbound – limit drops to 50KPH. They sit in the old Chiropractic College driveway (southbound traffic) or near the entrance to Sunnybrook Hospital (northbound)
Renforth Street
The speedtrap is typically set up just south of the elementary school on Renforth (at the bus stop, on the west side). 9 times out of 10 the police are focused on catching people who are coming south along Renforth, from Eglinton; in the rare instance, they leave their van parked on the west side, and they are standing on the east side catching unsuspecting motorists travelling north along Renforth.
