Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Steeles Ave.W just before Jane St.
On Steeles Ave going Westbound before Jane St there are usually cops waiting with the radar hiding at the UPS entrance drive-way, so once you get to the hill slow down. Its a 60km zone I usually see people go over that including myself and getting nailed.
Leslie Str.
Southband of Leslie Str. between Lawrence Ave. E and Eglinton Ave. E. almost every day from 8:00am
Allen Road
Allen Road northbound, just past the Hwy 401 exits. They are on the left hand shoulder, they use the Wilson Avenue subway station to hide behind. I’ve seen them there on numerous occaisions having a field day picking off tired commuters who just want to get home. Luckily, I haven’t been picked off, even though I remember it, it is hard to spot them before it’s too late.
Islington just North of Bloor
They are usually set up with a tripod stand and radar your speed when coming South bound on Islington approaching Bloor. The long straight stretch of road with no stop lights with residental houses are a clear shot at your speed. Limit is 50km/h. Word to the wise…Don’t go above that!!
Eglinton Ave. b/n Leslie and Don Mills
If heading East from Leslie they sit on the grass on the right, so as you pass the train bridge look in the distance and if any vehicle is parked it is almost guaranteed to be a cop, or numerous. When heading West they park on the sidewalk right after the train bridge just b4 Leslie. You cannot see the cruisers but once you pass Don Mills look for a guy standing with a radar under the bridge on the right.
