Toronto, Ontario Speed Traps
Lawrence Ave. East. Westbound approching Leslie St.
Just before the ESSO gas station on your right as you coming down a small slope on Lawrence Ave East.
York Mills east of Yonge
Ive seen them on both sides but mainly when your heading west on York Mills towards Yonge, they hide 2-3 streets up the hill.
Dundas Street 1-2 kms east of Islington
It is difficult to comply withthe posted 50 km/h speed limit when entering a ravine east of Islington and the police are waiting at the church on the west side of the ravine to pull people over. The area closer to Islington is also a problem because it’s a school zone and people who don’t make a point of slowing down get hit with a major fine.
lakeshore eastbound exit of gardiner
Just as you exit the gardiner to continue east on lakeshore, just after the speed limit drops to 60 kmh, they park 2 or 3 cars and come out onto the road and flag you down. Traffic flowing at 100+ kmh comes of the gardiner, and it’s not uncommon for drivers to still be doing 90 as they get onto Lakeshore
Blythwood St (In between Bayview and Mt Pleasant)
There is a school there in addition to a couple hills. So, the cops would set up their traps on Mt Pleasant and Blythwood and again at Bayview and Blythwood. It’s a double wammy. Be careful after going down the hill and again when you are going up.
